Interview – Rapper Big Pooh

I got the chance to chat with Rapper Big Pooh, one half of the legendary collective Little Brother, before his show at Middle East this past Tuesday. One of the coolest MC’s I’ve ever met, and he completely shut the show down. We talked about his latest project, “The Purple Tape,” a collab between him and Detroit producer Black Milk that features Pooh spitting over all Prince sampled beats, as well as his thoughts on up-and-coming artists, the influence Little Brother has had on the game, and the fate of the group, culminating with what is slated to be their final album together, “The Leftback.”

If you haven’t copped “The Purple Tape,” you’re a damn fool. Shouts to my boy Dougie Fresh at Yo! BC Raps for hipping me to it. Download it here. Right now.
